How long is the wedding?
The celebration is 3 days, and 2 nights. You are welcome to arrive on Friday, check-in from 15:30 to 21:00, and join us for a BBQ dinner at 19:30, followed by a complimentary breakfast on Saturday morning. For those arriving on Friday the hotel stay, with dinner and breakfast included. Check-in on Saturday is 9.15 to 18:00. Everyone will check out on Sunday at 13:00.
What should I wear?
On Friday night we are kicking off the celebration with a festival theme, please wear colorful and comfortable clothes that will permit you to get a full belly eating at the BBQ and dancing the calories away as we plug in our favorite tunes in the hall.
On Saturday wear something that makes you say "damn, I'm sexy" when you look in the mirror. The ceremony will start at 12, will be followed by an aperitif at 13:00, and a formal dinner at 15:00. Dancing and open bar to follow. Feel free to slip into something more groovy for the afterparty as we move from the main hall to the multi-use hall from the night before where we'll be dancing until sunrise at 6am.
Do I have to stay Saturday night?
We chose this venue for it's unique offering of hosting the whole wedding party and hotel in one safe resort nestled in a valley of the Pyrenees mountains. All guests celebrating with us on Saturday have a hotel bed secured, if you choose to stay elsewhere the newlyweds will still have to cover the cost of the hotel stay. Access to the hotel is just a few steps away and you have access to your room throughout the whole celebration to change attire or freshen up. We also do not tolerate drinking and driving. Every guest on Saturday is required to register with the resort, as it's Spanish law to collect everyone's official I.D. and the resort's insurance will not cover any incidents that occur to unregistered guests.
When is breakfast served?
Breakfast on Saturday morning (for those who stayed the night on Friday) is served from 09.00 to 11.30. All guests will have breakfast on Sunday morning from 9.30 to 12:00. Breakfast is included.
How do I get there?
The weekend celebration is at Liguerre Resort at address "Calle Santa Orosia Ag Alberuela, 2, 22393 Abizanda, Huesca, Spain". It used to be an abandoned village that a mason union restored and repurposed into a resort. It sits on a few acres with it's own vineyard, whose wine we'll enjoy the whole weekend, and borders a beautiful water basin with crystal blue water from the mountain ice melt, nestled in a valley of the Pyrenees Mountains.
We have a bus leaving Zaragoza train station at 15:00 on Friday and doing a return trip on Sunday at 13:00 from Linguerre Resort and will be back in Zaragoza between 15;00-15:30. From Zaragoza you can catch a high speed train back to Madrid or Barcelona (1.5 hour rail ride). Book your train tickets on trenes.com.
Those traveling by car will have parking at the resort available to them. We do not tolerate drinking and driving and expect the guests to stay at the resort's hotel.
Check the "Travel" page for more info.
Do I need a Visa to enter the European Union?
Not right now. The US is part of Schengen which grant visitors 90 day visas for tourism or business travel.
Make sure your passport is at least valid for 90 days from your return flight. Many airlines or countries will not let you travel on a document that is near it's expiration date.
For more details on entry requirements visit Spanish Ministry of Exterior: https://www.exteriores.gob.es/Consulados/washington/en/ServiciosConsulares/Paginas/Consular/Condiciones-de-entrada-en-Espana.aspx
